In December of 2014, the Del Mar City Council approved the City’s participation in property assessed clean energy (PACE) program. As a result, Del Mar homeowners can finance energy efficiency, solar energy, and water conservation upgrades and pay for these improvements through their property tax bill. You can finance 100% of your project while repaying the assessment over a 5-20 year time span and benefit from a tax deductible interest.
Some of the products offered to help homeowners reduce water consumption are:
- high-efficiency toilets, faucets and shower heads
- drip irrigation systems
- rainwater catchment systems
- graywater systems
- artificial turf and drought-tolerant landscaping
Some of the energy-saving products offered to help homeowners are:
- solar panel installations
- whole-home heating and cooling systems
- energy-saving windows and doors
To take advantage of this program, Del Mar property owners are urged to contact only PACE qualified contractors. It is only after completion of the project and your total satisfaction that funding is made available to the contractor.
