On November 5th, training for new Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members begins. The 25 hour CERT training will instruct volunteers to take proper measures before the arrival of the emergency response units.
During emergencies and disasters the volume of calls emergency response units receive could be overwhelming. In such situations the response time of emergency services may be slow. It is at times like these that a CERT member can take charge of the situation. The CERT training program is designed to prepare Del Mar volunteers to help themselves, their families and their neighbors in the event of a disaster.
Become a CERT member and provide assistance to our community, before, during and after a disaster.
